F Model in Wytheville VA

Recommended Posts

I was coming through Wytheville yesterday and saw a decent-looking F model being used as a billboard along 77, possibly for a driving school. Anybody have a name or photo of the truck? I don't see many Fs in Ohio any more. Also saw a B on a trailer rolling down the interstate, in mint condition with a custom body on the back...possibly some type of food service body.

Was it a burgundy color B?

It's been a long time,67, but I seem to recall that F model along 77 years ago! Do you run 77 a lot?  if so did  that F model seem to be recently parked along 77? I used to run that route a lot  and that F just rings a bell!

I don't run 77 a lot...the truck looks like it's been there a while (no engine in it). According to the Google it's for Alliance Tractor Trailer Training...still in business.

Wasn't there a B for sale with a moving body on it?  Seems it was burgundy in color.  Not sure if I saw it posted here, WOT or where?

If I recall, wasn't there an F model with trailer used as a billboard on Rt 36, west of 77?  Over by Mason Truck parts.

The was a green B on here with a brick pizza oven but it was open sides. This one is / was forsale in Orange County N.Y.  I think it was listed here too.   Paul

The B I saw had open sides so that could be it.

Yeah 67 that F has been there over 30 years! When you mentioned the driving school it all came back to me!

Yeah, I tried for years to get a decent drive-by picture of it, but never could.
