These 2 are the most recognizable out of 25 out of 32 different plugs I've tried to run.. 7 Autolites, 5 Accels, 5 Bosch and 8 Champions.Waiting for radial engine aircraft type plugs now. .Better plugs than pistons, head bolts or worse I guess. Only 40 lbs of boost too.

What motor is this out of (photo?)? I worked on a 345 IH gas motor years ago, clattering to beat the band. We were prepared to pull the engine, thinking it was a rod bearing. Turned out one of the porcelains was loose in the spark plug, bouncing up and down with every stroke.

You have tried every single  brand of  plug except what I would have started with.    Try NGK  they are the only ones I put in my various motors ever since a champion decided it wanted to self destruct and take a hole from my piston with it.  :thumb:

Ouch.  Man, can't any of the plug suppliers give you something that will survive?

Only thing I have to deal with is the ground straps fall off my Autolite Racing plugs.  Typically only replace in the spring, but I'm guessing they break sometime during the year.  Last week I went to Beaver Springs for the FE Reunion.  I changed the plugs and found 3 that were missing the strap completely.  Still ran the numbers last fall.  Or did they break off during the winter sleep and when I started it to load it they disappeared?  Didn't sound any different before or after.

The first trip to Beaver Springs was one of my favorite stories, I guess it's "old hat" now!

Diamond E 3 Spark Plugs. Try a set and let me know how they do.

Can't run them. My ignition is an MSD Pro Mag 44 amp Magneto (takes 16 volts to power it up to run independent)  50.000 volts at plugs through 9 mm copper core wires with minimum plug gap of 080. All that power is needed to fire the plugs with 40 pounds of boost and 14 to1 "running" compression. I get one run maybe 2 out of the plugs before the electrode is burned away. Could not get the minimum gap with those types of plugs or be able to index them in the chamber.

What's funny is every year since there is another "mountain" story from someone that followed google maps and didn't look at the satellite view!!  Doh!!  Live and learn.
