I've have 62 B61 with a END 673P. My problem is the fuel rack gets sluggish. This truck did set for 15 years not started. I bought from someone who got it started but didn't want the project. I have squirted WD 40 in the fuel inlet removed neddle and spring on the outlet to allow WD to go through work the rack by hand till it moves easy. I've had to do this 4 times in 4 years. When I start to flush it's all black coming out. What's causing this? My fuel tank is clean, fuel is clean I use fuel treatments thinking it will eventually stop doing this. Truck runs great doesn't seem to have injector or pump issues as far as running just this rack getting gummed up. Any help would be appreciated. This is my first post. Been reading posts for the last four years and learning a lot. Thanks

no it probably would not have developed within a couple months, but once its in the system it can take a while to get rid of. with the line from the filters to the pump replaced im not sure where or how you would be getting anything past the filters, so i guess im stumped. you could put some biocide in the tanks and run it a while if it was algae it should clean it up. after a few tank fulls treated with the biocide.

That's what I'm thinking too. What I've decided to do is make a small temporary tank set up with new lines run it off road and see what happens. If it still does it I'm thinking seal in pump that keeps motor oil out is failing. If its good to go just gonna replace tanks and lines
