The Battle of Gettysburg 2017

Attention Friends:

Those wackadoodles known as "ANTIFA" have put out a nationwide call to all of their chapters for members to be at Gettysburg National Military Park on July 1 to stage protests against ............. Who the hell knows who or what they are protesting. What is important here is that they have openly declared that they will be burning flags of the Army of Northern Virginia (which is apparently a symbol of hate?) and for their members to desecrate and vandalize graves, memorials, markers and other important historical features of Gettysburg. 

I am asking anyone and everyone who reads this to please contact your FEDERAL level elected officials and DEMAND that Federal Assets be in place at Gettysburg National Military Park on July 1 to protect YOUR TAX DOLLARS, but most importantly the historical features of the park. If you are also a resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, please contact your state level representatives to DEMAND state assets to help the Federal Assets protect the park and the Town of Gettysburg.

Looks like a bogus story- I googled it and no respected media is carrying the story. The group supposedly planning the action makes no mention of it. So looks like you're just defending another neo confederate group of traitors against a non existent threat.

You may not be aware that that the violent group ANTIFA has publicly announced that they intend to protest within Gettysburg National Military Park and the Town of Gettysburg on July 1 (the anniversary of the beginning of the 3 day battle in 1863...) and they have announced their intentions to burn confederate flags and to vandalize and desecrate graves, military monuments and other historical features of Gettysburg National Military Park and the Town of Gettysburg. As a constituent, I am requesting that you both endorse and request State and Federal Law Enforcement Assets to be used and deployed in Gettysburg to prevent this type of disgusting behavior to occur. I went to Gettysburg College.  Was a firefighter there my whole 4 years.  Spent a lot of time on the battlefields, during the school year studying (because they're peaceful now, how ironic) and during the summer months running EMS calls for visitors succumbing to the heat or extinguishing brush fires that threatened the National Park.  The battlefields, of which the Eisenhower Farm abuts to, are a piece of our history.  The left is trying to re-write history.  They just succeeded in removing a confederate statue in Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando.  Destroying or desecrating any piece of a National Park or monument to our past (whether or not the past was very pretty) is NO DIFFERENT (yes I'm yelling) than what ISIS is doing to historical religious sites throughout the middle east.  The Civil War was fought over states rights and Lincoln's ego.  Slavery was only a component, yet what we are teaching our kids (the ones that are ready to destroy national monuments) is that it was all about slavery and how awful the South was.  Well kiddo's there is a good chance the war would have been fought anyway, even if slavery didn't exist.

Teamster lady.... your level of disrespect is astonishing to me.  You live in a fantasy world hiding behind a screen name.  You support a party aligned with individuals who promote violence and incite hatred.  Do conservatives smash windows, set police cars on fire, loot businesses in the neighborhoods where they live that are owned by their own neighbors, disrupt the lives of hard working people who are minding their own business, attempt to kill politicians that are practicing for a bi-partisan charity event, shame our soldiers, assassinate law enforcement officers .... the list goes on forever.  The sad thing, is that you are clearly a smart and extremely intellectual person.  You're just focused on the wrong stuff.

WRONG WRONG WRONG... Fantasy land.  No one here has ever denied the horror of slavery.  If anyone did, I'd be the first to jump on them.  So there you go making up the facts like a typical liberal.  Was the confederacy traitorous?  Or was it a natural cycle in the building of our country and crafting of our eventual strong position of freedom at home and abroad.  When you fist fight with your brother or sister growing up are you a traitor to your family?  I bet our founding fathers sure looked like traitors in the eye of the British.  Were they wrong to start The Revolutionary War?  Lady, I'm a Yankee.  I only married a southerner.  I clearly see both sides, something you're blind to.  I don't think we should glorify anything.  We should just represent history as just that... History.  Sometimes is not pretty, but its ours.,

Geez what about the people who sold slaves into slavery, they are proud to show you their slave camps, Obama visited them, what about the white slaves or Asian slaves, they don't count ??? how come it's only about black people, how about the fact the Muslim have killed and tortured blacks way worse but no one say's anything about that, how about womens right under sharia law ??? I don't see the left doing anything about it, nor does our union friend seem bothered by it, like I said SELFISH, if it does not affect them then who cares.  Vietnam only ended in a disaster because the left fake news took away our ability to win, there will innocent victims, that is what happens in war, WW1 and WW2 had many non military deaths, but Hitler needed to be stopped, or is that up for debate too.
