It seems that it will retain the basic cab structure (CH/ Vision/ Pinnacle) and it will sport a brand new hood design, completely new interior design and a new sleeper design. If retaining the ageing "Mayflower cab", at least it is a relief it will not be or use a cloned VOLVO Trucks cab....

I think MACK is making its frames in-house now.

The Mack brand chassis has been the North American market Volvo chassis for many years now.

Volvo of course designs their chassis.

The frame components are produced by Mexico's Metalsa.

Starting from which model? Pinnacle with MP engines?

Mack-branded on-highway models began using Volvo VN chassis in June 2004 (rebadged as the Mack Advantage Highway Chassis).

In 2005, Granites began using the Volvo VHD vocational chassis (rebadged as the "Mack Cornerstone Chassis").

So does this means a Vision of 2003 had Mack frame rails and of 2005 Volvo ones? Or had they been produced in parallel for some while being offered as an optional choice?

There was no choice. For greater economy of scale, Volvo switched the Mack brand over to the Volvo platform.
