I don't know how much longer I can hold my 95 CH together, can frame rails are rusting out under sleeping, bottom of sleeper is about shot too, rest of truck is decent. Looking at a 2000  vision with the 427 in it, little disappointed in condition, no rust though, just a lot of minor issues. The engine also surges when sitting at an idle. Truck has a little over 700k on it. How's this engine compare to mine? Didn't seem to have much more power, but was bobtailing.95 has the E7 350.

The surge on an e-tec is just the check valve on the fuel. I definitely wouldn't be afraid of the newer one. You would wanna see when injectors were done and an overhead was ran last. Probably do oil analysis on everything first. Also check nitrates in coolant. This is why Mack should make glider kits.

my truck is 2000 vision with a e7 460 has nearing 1.2m on it, dropped a liner at 940k was inframed with new heads ran pretty much trouble free till recently just normal old truck stuff some gaskets and seals here and there breaks and hoses ect. then it ate a camshaft and i had a string of shoddy work done by Mack on it. hopefully all is good now. the e7 is a good engine though, my hauls heavy gets good mpg for what it does and been a good runner with decent power.
