IMO it is not worth much more than scrap since it is missing almost all of the significant components like the pump, bell, tools, etc., has no title, and it does not run. It would be a good parts truck at $500.00 to $1000.00.

Money, sex, and fire; everybody thinks everyone else is getting more than they are!

Can't say I recognize the engine.  Usually fire equipment has dual spark plugs and ignition.  This engine only seems to have single plugs.  May have been repowered at some point.

Jim

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

What does that yellow thing have of an engine?

Doesn't look like any of Mack products I remember ever seen.

1930 would have been a Flathead similar the AL or BK series power plants.  I believe it it a Le Roi. . Probably an ex military power unit from WWII .

I was expecting to see Mack flathead or AC6 engine. An engine swap drops value of a truck in my eyes. Sometimes down to the ground floor:)

Usually. Not always.

And when equipped with dual distributors, they could either both run off the generator/alternator or switch to magneto in the event of electrical system loss.  Usually, not always.
