This will give you some more info for the 17 digit VIN.  The date codes will be newer than what you are working on.

She's a bit off....

First digit 2 does not always mean glider....

First digit 2 is actually Canada. Goes for cars as well.

Also the listing for digit 11 is missing the "C" for Canada (Oakville assembly"

The Canadian Oakvile trucks were not knockdown kits. The steel frame rails came in from Hayes Dana in Beamsville Ont. Using Canadian steel.

    • Another example RW613:

The W stands for Western and together with the R means a superliner or RW. 13 is a Cummins NTC engine.

RW613 had Mack engine.

RW with Cummins were RW633

Is it a factory built piece or aftermarket?

I am familiar with, for example, RM6854  237 HP 4X4.  The 4 indicates 4X4 with front drive axle and one rear drive axle.  An RM6856 is a 237 HP 6X6.  Last 6 for the 6X6.

There were also some RD800 6X6 trucks with the model designations of RD8216, RD8226, RD8246, RD8886 and RD8906.
