My Brother bought it and is going to restore it. It even still has the U-700 emblem on the cab! But according to the horn button, this one was bought by a construction company in Pennsylvania, a state that didn't even allow turnpike doubles. The rust and old age always takes over after siting for a long time. The old girl does run like a top though ! I preferred their R models, but the Us were good for backing into tight places! They must have been a thrill to drive as they seemed to be all over the road! My dad had a small terminal in Jacksonville FL in the early 70's and I remember seeing some of those you're talking about. I don't know if they were CF trucks that I saw.
