Question

Just picked up a 2012 Pinnacle. Got a problem with rain water leaking in behind the dash. There is a very slight seep coming over the windshield gasket in the lower left corner. However, it does not come close to the amount hitting the floor board. Unless the pinch-weld is rusted out under the gasket, it would have to be coming in from the cowl somewhere?

Had to stop the diagnostics and get back on the road again. Curious if anyone knows of a common problematic area I should pay more attention to. (Before completely removing the dash and/or stripping the upper firewall)

thanks in advance

The windshields leaking is common. So much so that water was getting into the fuse panel down by the clutch pedal and there was a big recall to have a big rubber boot/gasket  installed on the fuse panel and if water damage was found in the fuse box it was to be replaced. However no fix for the windshields leaking
