I am new to this forum  and I have some questions in regards to purchasing a 2010 FSA MP8 Pinnacle. I have information that there are some costly items that should have been repaired before 500,000 miles.

1. Cooper injector cups, replaced with stainless steel.($4500) estimate per mack

2. Idler gear upgrade.

($7000) estimate per Mack

I have the casual warranty parts print out. It shows the copper sleeves but can't tell if it was updated.

Does or has anyone experienced a issue with this.

3. I live in Middle TN, and work out of North Dakota.  Does anyone know of a good private mechanic, outside of a Dealership.

4. Emissions removal 07 for this engine any ideas

Thank you for any assistance in advance

We are starting to see more and more MP-8's with emission deleted. There is a local guy here thats doing them and results have been great so far. Cost is about $5000.  Injectors/cups are usually good for about 300,000 miles.  We usually see them replaced 3 times in the life of the truck ( on average) .  Bull gears/timing gears usually are good till 800,000 at least.
