Hi,  I have a 2006 mack Mr with le motor.  Truck runs good after 8 or 9 hours check engine light comes on. Truck still runs good but once we shut it down it won't restart until trucks sits for a couple hours then restarts like nothing ever happened until it repeats itself after 8 or 9 hours. Took the truck to mack wth light on and they Said it was reading active alternator but that it couldn't be the case cause truck wouldn't start at all.. seems like computer needs to reset itself before it starts up again.

Thanks

Only thing I can think of is one of the power relays is not powering down.  Try pulling the battery cables off, waiting a few minutes then putting them back on and try starting again. Also, you mean it will crank over but not start or just not crank over at all?

No. It won't crank over. Dead all together. Lights will go on but nything else..  I won't get anything out of it til it sits for a while.. I use the kill switch off n on and truck stl won't start up or crank over.  Is there anyway to reset computer to see if that works?
