maybe because we were not in such a big hurry back then.

remember when you were hot snot if you had a 285 HP and a 10 or 13 speed? 

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

The split intake manifold(673P) was the "hotter" set up compared to the single log manifold.    If you don't have more then 30K lbs behind you, it will run with traffic easily enough.  Just don't go to PA and think you can run the hills real fast LOL!!
