Hi All,

I am en-route to pick up a '77 Cruiseliner. The previous owner said I need 4 6V batteries to get this thing off his property. Question is , since 6V are hard to come by these days, is there another way to get the job done for these  model years with 2x 12 V modern batteries? If the 6 V are just wired in series this should work, but if they are in parallel, then I would definitely need actual 6V to keep the bus voltage where it needs to be and not fry an antique's electrical system.

Thanks,

AB

I've seen a post here:

I  assume this is the same deal whether you are running a late 70s R, U or Cruiseliner. I will take this approach unless someone wiser has a different opinion on this.

Thank you,

AB

just double check how battery cables are wired to starter to figure out if it is 12 or 24 volt starter, might be able to look on starter to see voltage.    terry:D

Thanks Terry.
