Hey Guys,

Anyone know where I could possibly find a door latch for a A model?  Or has anyone retrofit to a new latch style that works pretty good?

The peaks of the wheel are worn off - I tried to weld more material on top, but its pot metal or something.  Just burned/melted it.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Replacement latch will be swap meet or junkyard.

You could also try a rotary repair kit.  The kit pictured is a Champ-Items product.  Sources will be ebay, swap meets and old car parts dealers mostly advertising in places like Hemmings Motor News.

The Champ kit for the Mack driver's door is 640-E and the pass. door is 640-F.

The pictured kit is a 640-A and doesn't fit Mack but the general look is the same.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.
