A BMW Motorcycle dealer shop manager recommended replacing the battery and entire charging system on a 1980s vintage BMW bike because he killed the battery trying to start it... My fenders are painted, but that just means they buff up well after me sitting or laying on them!!! There is no way to work on a B model and NOT scratch the fenders up.
