firehse Posted February 13, 2018 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Good morning everyone.i have a 1985 Mack CF fire truck, a few weeks ago the amount meter stop registering and batteries not charging, it's a reverse polarity alternator, I'm trying to find the Voltage regulator on this Engine, can't find it, would anyone know where it could be? I just put new batteries in this past week. Anyone know why this would happen and what to do about it? h67st Posted February 22, 2018 Share Posted February 22, 2018 I would put a voltmeter on the batteries while it's pegged just to make sure your gauge is accurate. A bad regulator will cause that, or bad connections. Could even be a broken wire somewhere.
