0 Mackpro Posted February 22, 2018 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Most of the time you jack front axle off the ground and start engine and turn steering wheel lock to lock. This should get air out of system. If you are having hard steering or wandering issue then there is a know issue of GU/CHU built after November 2014 . 0 Skull Posted June 7, 2020 Share Posted June 7, 2020 My 2015 GU713 granite steering is horrible. Lots of play. Bergeys Dealership says it's fine. There not the ones stressing from it for 500 miles a day. It's really frustrating. Constantly correcting steering left to right. Seems like 2" of play left to right in the cab. I thought the joints should be replaced. They say it's normal play. Truck wonders left to right so I have to steer it till steering wheel hits the wall on the other side till it does what I want it to. It's a lease and a miserable stressful problem. Not sure how to explain to get help.
