VaPatentman Posted March 20, 2018 Share Posted March 20, 2018 3-19-18 Knight Transportation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Knight-Swift Holdings, has acquired all of the assets of Abilene Motor Express and related entities, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Abilene Motor Express is a Richmond, Virginia-based carrier with nearly 400 trucks that operates throughout the U.S. and Canada. Abilene’s founder started/owns The Keystone Antique Truck & Tractor Museum in Colonial Heights, Va. a couple 100 ft off I-95. It has a great collection of trucks and tractors. He said there is an expansion planned for this year along with relocating the "restoration" shop back to the museum. He has "semi-retired", working only 40-60 hours a week rather than 80 hours per week. And the reason you don't see him on here is "tired of the political BS".
