Following in the footsteps of Scania and Iveco, MAN is reported to be developing non-EGR Euro-6 (near EPA2010) emissions engines.

Non-EGR engines consume slightly more AdBlue urea (aka. DEF) but have longer engine life, maintenance intervals and higher performance since no exhaust gases are redirected back to the combustion chambers.
