As the title says I have a high rpm miss that has me stumped. To start, I'm almost certain I've read every thread on the internet about E7 misfires, econovance, or just about everything related. I'm a younger kid at a private shop and there just isn't any information out there. I haven't worked on too many MACKS, but being a private shop we don't work on many of the same things over and over.

Back to the point. The truck fires up and runs fine no miss, no smoke.  If I rev the truck up it begins to smoke, pop, and miss. Cracked all the lines and am certain its not an injector.

When I hook my pro-link up I don't have any active codes but one inactive, 35 (TIMING ACTUATOR Mech. Sys, No Response/Out of Adjust). So I check timing on pro-link 8 degrees at idle, rev the truck up, slowly increases and struggles to get above 20. Now is you put 12v direct to the actuator it naturally pegs timing at 30-31 degrees and runs awesome, no miss, smoke, and great feeling power. I replaced the timing sensor on the pump and check the resistance on the rear RPM sensor and cleaned the end of the sensor if debris (it was clean).

I'm not asking for answers, nor will I turn any down, just looking for advice and maybe some guidance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

What else is required to make it advance the timing apart from your timing sensor and and RPM sensor

Apart from that , start belling out wires with a mega as full scale deflection is only 5 ohms and are much more accurate than a multimeter at low ohms

And also I have never worked on one so I have no idea just guessing and chucking ideas about

Well I appreciate it! I have a Snap-On Vantage and have been considering scoping the signal to the solenoid to see what the signal. I was just curious  if I was missing something small before I got it out.
