Hello All,

I recently purchased a 63 Mack C85 Fire Engine with a EN707 gas engine in it. It just started to leak oil from what appears to be a belt driven oil pump? on the back passenger side of the motor. When I crawled under it while it was running it looks to be coming from the shaft seal. Any idea where I could get one, or send the pump out to be re built. I'm in south eastern PA. I don't have any manuals for the truck and currently have a request in at the Mack museum but still have not received anything as of yet. Any help, or input is greatly appreciated.

Welcome. Sounds like a neat truck, maybe you can post some pictures. I will qualify my next statement by saying I have no experience with a 707 gas engine. I'm pretty sure it is not a belt driven oil pump. Sounds like it could be the air compressor for the brakes if it has air brakes. There are many experienced and knowledgeable folks on here that will know for sure and chime in. Good Luck.

I am located in Ridley, Delaware County. I did a little more looking around and found that the part is the air compressor. I checked with a local truck parts store and said they can not get parts for it due to the age. It will have to be removed and sent out to be re built.
