Hi everyone, I have 05 Mack CXN613 and A/C quit working, after I check all fuses notice that APADS lights not coming on at all so I'm not sure how to check that component because green wire is powered when I turn A/C on is there something I'm missing, also I don't have fuse guide in my outer fusebox cover and not sure what fuse is for what, if anybody knows plz let me know it's hot in this cab 😩

Voltage to the APADS also comes from fuse 41 ( 15a )  down the red wire, but before it gets there it runs through the Freon  high pressure switch connector. Also check the APADS ground.

I'm sure there is no voltage in red wire

Look like the problem is somewhere between fuse and conector to A/C system. I checked everything around that I can see. Now I have yellow light on with 4-2 message and I know that's fan output. If it's not somewhere in harness than don't know where else to look. I run another wire to power APADS and it's start working normally, but 4-2 didn't go away so I hope I'm wrong, as I see the problem is hiding in the harness, where...?? God know. I'm on the road now and don't have tools to trace problem, or you have better idea 💡

Have you checked that the Compressor Clutch is engaging?

also have you looked in the sight glass on the receiver dryer for bubbles...??

I bet his compressor clutch is the type you can't see..  they started that crap 10+ years ago..  it turned a quick inspection into a half day event... :)

I have a 2009 Mack. AC is not blowing cold air. I connected the ac machine to the unit. The low side psi is High and the high side psi is Low. Recovered the refrigerant. I only pulled 1.4lbs. Charged the system with 3lbs. The same issue continues. Check the ac comp. clutch. The ac com. clutch on the unit can't be see. I checked the resistance at the ac comp. clutch. I got 4.5ohms, which I believe is correct. Checked for voltage at the ac comp. electrical connector (harness side). No voltage is getting to the ac comp. Checked the fuses and found fuse FU53 (AC Comp. Clutch) is also not getting power. Checked the fuse to verify if it was damaged. I even swapped out the fuse for another 10amp fuse. Issue continues. I inspected the harness for damage by the ac comp. electrical connector. No damaged wires are visible. What would be my next step. I have not been able to find any other fuse boxes.

I removed some zip-ties to the ac compressor wiring harness, searched for damaged wires, found no damage. Rechecked for voltage. Now I'm getting battery voltage to the ac comp. electrical connector and to fuse53. Wiggled the wiring harness but cannot duplicate no voltage issue. Checked the pressure switch and fan switch for voltage. Getting battery voltage. I went ahead and replaced the ac dryer and expansion valve. Issue continued. I've inspected the cabin air filter and found no issue. No, I have inspected the thermostat. I will do so.

Thank you for the response.

We see the connector going into the AC control panel melt before, there's a Service Bulletin that came out addressing the issue. Gives part numbers to replace/modify the connector to prevent it from happening again. I'll attach it so you can use it to help if needed. I won't say that is your issue, but we have seen all kinds of symptoms as the result of this failure. Worth a shot to look I guess.
