Posted June 5, 2018 Share Posted June 5, 2018 Guys, have a group of close friends who were returning from the bus show in Hershey Pa when the harmonic balancer on their 8.2L Detroit took a poop in Harrisburg. They got towed to Triple K near the T/A on 81 in Harrisburg. Penn DD/A and J & T both say 7-10 days minimum. Does anyone know of a Detroit shop in the east somewhere that may have a good stock of those 8.2L parts? Here's what I got: SN 08G0051526 Year 1982 Model 8.2 Engine Family CGM08.2DA84 Naturally aspirated. The part number may be 8928951 If anyone can help with price and availability quicker than 7-10 days it would be appreciated! hicrop10 Posted June 5, 2018 Share Posted June 5, 2018 I don’t know how far it is but there is a shop at 222 and where the Walmart is about 5 miles west of the pa pike.You can check the Lancaster farming paper there’s always shops listed there.I would check for you but I gave my paper to someone,could check tomorrow. A used harmonic balancer was located at Leed Diesel. As much as they are hesitant to install a used one, the $1500 tag of a new one with the 7-10 day wait is not in the cards.
