Question

Hey guys,

Im looking for some info on a ETZ 675 235 HP Mack Motor thats on a 79mack. It has a camel back rear end and new king pins. Im trying to find out if this is a good motor. Im going to be doing dump truck hauling with dirt, rock, and maybe asphalt. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated!

Welcome to the site.

Good, old, reliable engine.  Won't win any races against a big powered truck of today, but it will keep doing it long after the new stuff breaks down.

Is that the same as a 237 or a ENDT 675?

Similar but there are variations with the injection pump, injectors and timing.

Good solid engine.  Very nice if it is hooked to a 6 speed (X107/X107A) transmission with multiple reverse gears for dirt work.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

It is up to you.
