Saw on face book today under F Model Mack's that the first F model was an F-715 with a 255 hp Mack V-8 and a 20speed triplex.

That post was about the first F model bought by a company in Australia, the very first F model was most likely 711 powered as both the F and 711 engine came out about the same time in 1962

Ah that be quadro:mellow:

No worries I thought maybe there was something else out there that I hadn’t heard of which is highly likely. 😁

The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by the people who vote for a living.

The government can only "give" someone what they first take from another.

Cummins 220, 250 or 280 was available in F models in 1962.  1962 Mack F-731, 1962 Mack F-737 or 1962 Mack F-745.

I drove an F model with a 350 Cummins, but it was much later, it was a 1979. Had a 350 Cummins with a 10 speed overdrive, Roadranger trans, Mack rears.

Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999.
