we have put new switches, sending units, turbo, actuator, muffler and so much more on our 2009 Mack. MP8 Engine.  it will regen but then says dpf system fault Dpf system service required. we cleaned the filters and everything possible. we plugged in the tech tool to see what codes we could clear on the computer. we cleared the code. as soon as we done that it turned around and the same code come right back on. we are stumped!!!! Any help or ideas?????????????

Did you zero out the door ratio after having the filter cleaned? If not , the ecm still thinks the filter (even though it regent fine) is ash packed or nearing capacity. Do learned data reset and zero out soot ratio and do a regen and do a 20 mile test drive and see how much the soot ratio rises.

i asked my mechanic and he said he isnt sure if he has that zero'd ouy or not. he asked how do you do that?

On tech tool, click on “Test”. Then select engine.  Then intake and exhaust. Then I believe, above or below the line for “Regen” you will see Exhaust Aftertreatment Diagnostics. , click on that line and on that screen towards the bottom you will seen the soot ratio reset button.
