Do they have to change all the gear box and axle oils before they get to their destination???

They should, unless they have the breathers flex hosed to a high location like tactical military trucks. The water would enter a typical 541KB16 breather mounted to the carrier.

Remote Diff & gearbox breathers are almost Standard fare in My part of the World..

Whenever I buy a S/H truck if It doesn't have 'em??   It very soon does..

i got a Quote on a New Mack back in the Winter Time, & the salesman & I ticked the Box for the remote breather package, can't remember how much extra I twas though...

We used to add remote breathers on trucks growing up.

For trucks that did occasional water crossings we ran the breathers to the top of the firewall

You also need to deal with the intake

For trucks that worked in the swamp we also set them up to pressurize the transmission, transfer case and axles to 5 psi
