Is that a Holmes 525 on the Dodge Bros.?

Pre dates the 525, it is actually an old Holmes "Road King" slightly lighter main frame.

My info claims Road Kings were built 1939-40. That bed had seen a lot of business before it landed on the Dodge!

Most shops, my dads included would slide a new chassis under the unit and update lighting. Big change on my pops was going to a tow sling from the bang bar and tire in the early 1960's.

I worked a couple garages that still used the chains and tire setup in the late 1970's as there were still a lot of older cars with frames under them on the roads then.
