R model fuel caps

I ruined my fuel caps. They are just slightly larger than 2” npt 

they are brass. Steel fuel tanks. Can anyone tell me what size they might be or maybe even a part number?? Thank you very much. I have plastic bags over them so it’s an ASAP type thing. Lol

I believe the number is (was) 16MF219A.  Corporate Valvoo probably has discontinued it.  No idea what a volvo number might be if available. 

Stant has brass fuel caps if you can't find an oem cap.

I did see some stant brass fuel caps on amazon actually and they aren’t too expensive. I just haven’t figured out what size I have

Checked in a different book and the 16MF219A cap is listed as a 2.50" diameter with 8 NF threads.

put two of those vented caps on my B, all I could find at the time

For anyone interested O’reilly’s Had a listing for brass nonvented 2.50” caps from Murray. I called and they confirmed that they are 2.50”x8 thread. I ordered 2 at $23 each. I’ll update to let know if they are in fact correct.

I have a couple old B tanks with similar caps.  Be glad to pass them along to you if needed.  Let me know.

I have new Alumitanks and have no need for the tanks or caps.

A 2.50x8 thread cap will not fit a 2x11.5 thread. The right brass cap is $26 at AlumiTank. Just helping but some guys make it hard to be helped.

J Hancock thank you for the part # and the size. You are spot on. That crossed to a Murray and a stant # and O’reillys had them for me this morning. Stant #10602.

2.50 with 8nf threads
