Should be interesting

I wonder will we end up with Isuzu motors with Cummins Badges or Cummins motors with Isuzu badges ??

Paul

An X12 powered GIGA would sell real well here I'd reckon Paul..

Cummins are in a bit of a bind with Kenworth refusing to fit the X12's in their trucks....

Cummins, Isuzu Form Powertrain Partnership

Transport Topics  /  May 31, 2019

Independent engine maker Cummins Inc. and truck maker Isuzu Motors announced they are entering into the Isuzu Cummins Powertrain Partnership agreement, which formalizes a business structure for the companies to bring new diesel and diesel-based powertrains to global markets.

“Isuzu and Cummins recognize the advanced diesel engine is, and will continue to be, an important power choice for global customers in commercial vehicle and industrial applications. This is especially true in developed countries where power sources are used for high-intensity operations, as well as in emerging countries where social infrastructure conditions are severe,” says Isuzu Motors President Masanori Katayama.

UD fitted a Cummins in their biggest trucks out here in the 80's

I don't think they sold many

Paul

They sold the first batch Pretty easy..

From Memory the Boss of UD Australia got into hot water from the head Honchos in japan for doing It (Giving the Customer what they asked for).. & was told not to do It again..

They also sold a Series 60 powered version in the '90's...
