Moparmike Posted July 30, 2019 Share Posted July 30, 2019 Ok guys 2000 rd688s e7 400 8speed fuller I can hold the pedal to the floor in every gear it will reach the top end and the boost drops even in 8th gear Where should I start cause I can't remember the truck doing that before I have a driver in it so it's been a while since I drove it.. JoeH Posted July 30, 2019 Share Posted July 30, 2019 Not a very clear description of the boost drop. You probably have clogged fuel filters. They typically act like a governor slowly lowering the RPM that the boost cuts out at. theakerstwo Posted July 30, 2019 Share Posted July 30, 2019 At a certain point of rpm ,maybe 1700 the governor starts to the rack back on fuel cutting its out put and then the boost will drop as the rpm goes higher.Sounds like its working like should be.
