Oddly I’ve felt like we’ve been slowly forgetting 9/11 over the years but for some reason this year I felt like it was more remembered than in the past few years. And of course I love the story of the old Mack being the only engine capable of putting the fire out inside the pentagon.

This past January I was in NYC and I made it a point to visit the 911 memorial and museum at ground zero. It is a very somber and sad place. I spent several hours there, the most important lesson I learned during that visit was how utterly destructive hatred is, not only did hatred destroy several building and murder over 3000 people but it also destroyed the hopes and dreams of every family member and friend of those that perished. Our own individual hatred destroys us from within. I would urge anyone that has the slightest chance to visit the 911 museum and memorial at ground zero to visit, despite it being very sad it will enrich your life, it did mine.

When I quit doing the 1000 yard benchrest comp. I sold my rifle to a fireman that was at ground zero he talked a little about that day and the days after. He was injured and is disabled his lungs are screwed up from all that dust in the air. He admitted that he lost firemen from his station and it haunt's him to this day. What a thing to live with.

Funny all I hear is that all gun owners are mass murderers and we should have all guns banned but Muslims run around the world killing people in horrific ways and only some are bad ????  Wow  you must drink the Warren/Sanders kool Aid,  When was the last time you heard the Muslim majority speak out about the murders that are carried out in the name of Allah, not a word , if you don't condemn than you condone just by not speaking up.  sort of double standard

Best advice I heard is from my wife’s dad. He’s seen a lot of the human condition. My father-in-law describes them as the 8%. The eight percent of any population that raises 100% of all the hell for the 92% and get 100% of 6 o’clock screen time. 

The 8% that sell drugs, manufacture drugs, steal drugs, rob, money launder, make corrupt leaders, rape, loot, father illegitimate children like shooting skeet, mug little old lady’s, protest violently, shoot up the school, fly jets into buildings filled with civilians, cut peoples heads off, produce porn films, burn crosses, form gangs, drive drunk...........etc etc.

and then the 92% who are working, driving a BMT, or at home eating chips with MSG, trying to live peaceably without get shot, robbed or run over by the 8% and occasionally skip church to go hunting then end up paying billions in taxes to contain and regulate the recklessness of the 8%. 

When it comes to Muslims specifically, if you want to see the meat and potatoes of a faith look to the fundamentalists of the faith.  With Christianity it’s probably the Baptist’s and Mennonites. With Muslims it’s the blade wielding wackos who believe cutting your head off will secure entry to paradise. Wouldn’t be shocked if it ends up being about 8% of them.

Having worked and lived in Muslim countries I learned to live by their rules but they do not like the infidels and only tolerate us for a greater plan, even the blacks who claim to be Muslim are a false Muslim and will never stand before Allah, they are biding their time and when the time is right they will make their move, but there are Muslims that are good people and do not live by the koran /Quran I have friends in Basra Iraq, they are some of the finest people to be with and work with but they are not hard core, they even sent me a Christmas present the year I came home, good people but there are a lot really bad people who would cut your throat in second if you let your guard down, kinda like being in the dark side of Chicago.  

My point still is as a gun owner I am a bad person, a would be mass murderer but my religion does not promote the killing of innocent people, maybe Muslims would do better to condemn loudly acts of violence and stand with world to stop the actions of their wack jobs like most gun owners do (even kill whack jobs) when the mental cases go crazy.

When we lived in Oyster Bay, we could smell the smoke from the Towers and thought of all the people involved. We send trucks in for the recovery effort and I was in Vietnam in 71/ 72  and in an other war in October 1973 but the innocents being killed still  bothers me.

This gentleman pretty much told omar where to get off. He lost his mom in the towers. Two lame stream media outlets chastized him for his speech, I would shake his hand and buy him dinner.

Called up to read some of the names of the victims, Nicholas Haros, whose mother, Frances Haros, was killed in the attack, falsely suggested Omar was confused about the nature of the attack. Echoing Trump, Haros also questioned the Minnesota congresswoman's patriotism.

"Madam, objectively speaking we know who and what was done," Haros said, addressing Omar, who was not present at the ceremony. "There's no uncertainty about that. Why your confusion? On that day 19 Islamic terrorists, members of al Qaeda, killed over 3,000 people and caused billions of dollars of damage. Is that clear?"

His criticism lasted for nearly a minute and a half, and drew a smattering of applause.

"Got that now?" he continued, saying al-Qaeda had attacked the country's "Judeo-Christian" values. "Show respect in honoring them. Please: American patriotism and your position demand it."

Haros is a Roman Catholic from Ocean County, New Jersey, who evangelizes online through a group he founded called Facebook Apostles.

It's still hard for me to believe that people actually voted for her, and that idiot AOC, and that idiot that wears the toy cowboy hat, and that idiot who thinks she's an Indian, and that idiot who's going to take our AR-15s, the idiot who's going to have free everything for everybody, and all the rest of the idiots who call themselves democrats...
