tim, i've been screwing with a homemade mechanical throttle linkage and i didn't like any of my concoctions. looking at throttle cables now. teleflex morse and lokar are two i've looked into. scott

Thanks Scott, I'll check that out. The pedal squeals if I hammer it down and I know it's gonna fail one of these days. They are getting hard to come by too,Tim

find a truck with an e9 engine with mechanical throttle setup. give your local mack dealer the serial number and let him duplicate the parts for you. it shouldn't be that hard for you or the parts man as long as you have a model and serial number to work off from. i have two arrangements for you. for cab use 2QB4656 and chassis arrangement use 2QB5360. those numbers came from rw613-1352 which is a superliner II with air ride cab. that should get you fixed up. whether the parts are still available thru mack is another story.

Hi everyone, My Superdog has an air throtle which I priced out a new peddle last year  .Don't want to go there. How hard would it be to change over to linkage for a "92" e-9 and how much work? Tim

Hey Tim,

i have been able to get all the parts i needed for my e9 at the mack dealer near me so u guess u could give ur local mack dealer a try. If not ill look around for you.

The air throttle is a good thing and I'd try to keep it if at all possible. I believe they were made by Williams Controls, who are still in business- have you tried them for parts?

No I haven't, I'll look on line. My mack dealer scared me with the price for a new one and then told me he had a hard time locating one Thanks Tim
