The 1950 LJT was sold new out of the Mack Trucks Bridgeport CT factory branch equipped with a 200 NH Cummins and a Mack OD five speed and a 3 speed Brown Lipe auxiliary transmission.  The brand new purchase price in 1950 was $10,500.

At some point, the truck had the sleeper cab removed and replaced with a L day cab.  In the late 90's and early 2000, it was put back as built and restored to new condition.

He found the cab in a local  Reuse yard and wanted to go back in time to rebuild back to original Il hafts to  inform him on the history on his unit I want to thank you for the information  he use my father truck to get pictures ..

My brain cells kicked in and reminded me that the LJT was a magazine cover truck with a good article from 2004.  Took a couple minutes to locate it.

ok that looks more like the ones i saw as a young kid......i think vlad is right about them using alotta same panels as the H cab to actually make it look like the entire thing......i do remember distinctly,those weird rear side windows...bob

They were used Orville and Benhof on all the sleeper conversions for all makes from the 1935 on. They used 1935 to 1940  Ford Coupe quarter glass and gaskets, some even could be roll down. .
