LOL 1150hp to the ground in it's prime. It is turned down a bit now from its sled pulling days, still sought for sure. I was just thinking the other day when I hooked it to my low deck and loaded the LTH logger (heavy) and the Pete 390 also heavy. I weighed in the low 70's and I went up the Siskiyou mountain doing a steady 65-70...could have done even more in it but a few of the bends I definitely sucked up the seat!!! That truck had unreal power! You could wind it up to 4000rpms and it sounded like a sewing machine. I am not sure if the firing order was modified on that or not?? Non-Dynatard cam and rockers. Had cam reground at CamCraft to Steve Travetz Spec's (same builder of the engine in Superliner). It will be a Monster, Twin 106mm turbos, 14mm pump, etc. with a HT754CR Allison trans for fast shifting. Sorry my projects take a little more time than your Beautiful stuff but it will happen. Just got my shop re-done to actually work in. I like your E9 engine photo Osborne knows his stuff. Engine next to the Frig, So is that any indication of what's for Lunch or just a snack? Thanks, It has been a process and years to get together. I finally want to retire and work (play) in a shop I always wanted. Hasn't been that way until now. Had the building for 10 years, just bare floors, no paint or A/C. Full of a lot of useless stuff from 3 businesses, 4 houses and other people. Restored and project trucks and cars. Figured I would never get to work on the stuff I wanted the way it was and now in the process of clearing it out. Making it the way I want and saying NO to storing peoples stuff (or wife's treasures} for free any more. Now have enough space for a huge shop and a 50 car climate controlled storage business. All A/C, Insulated, LED lite, epoxy floor and CLEAN. Even bought a Tennant floor scrubber. It is space utilization just have to go vertical to get it. Whole cost of building with all the improvements will be paid off in less than 5 years. The old saying, "it takes money to make money". I am tired of working my ass off. Now I'm going to let the storage space make money and collect a check every month. Great collateral, if the storage is not paid, most cars to be stored are valued well over $200K around here. idlogger Posted May 2 Share Posted May 2 I hauled logs with a 91 super liner with the big mack V8 and all I know, when ya built up manifold pressure and that turbo finally spilled, it would set ya right back in the seat. besides running it by the pyrometer, when I had to split a shift going into a pull... that thing would shoot a flame out of the air cleaners and pick it back up... kinda a mean motor. still pulled good even when ya dropped it down in rpm... ah.. the good ol days lmao!! 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
