h67st Posted April 17, 2020 Share Posted April 17, 2020 I happened upon a pair of NOS Mack rear leaf springs, paid $615 each which was the best price I could find. Stengel Bros. and Dendoff Springs were both in that price range but they were aftermarket parts and 1-2 month lead time. I got the insulators and trunnion bushings from PAI, price was good and quality looks good. And was it a trouble to find a pair of good used Camelback springs off a R or a B-model? I doubt you would see any difference between new and used springs in a hobby truck as long as they're not initially brocken. h67st Posted April 27, 2020 Author Share Posted April 27, 2020 I was looking at my old springs, under the part number they're stamped "SP 11 59". Since the truck is a 1960 model, I believe that is the date code. Pretty good quality parts to still be on the truck after 60 years!
