The torque from the engine can tear up the quad box

AS STATED ABOVE, CHECK ENGINE FOR TAG, OR POST PICS

Success is only a stones throw away.................................................................for a Palestinian

Yep as said above, nice old jigger

You'll find once your used to the quad box it will be pretty easy and you will only use half the gears

Even if you have a full load on you wont use all the gears as some are almost the same and after a while you will stop using the clutch once your rolling and the oil is warm

Have fun and welcome

I went ahead and took some pictures of the engine for you guys today. I know casting numbers don't say a lot, but there were no engine identification tags on this engine. I was looking for tags behind the injection pump but the block is bare. Can't find any stamping marks like you would expect with a serial number. The E6 in our R model has tags and is very similar other than not having an air inter cooler, what I think is the block casting number was one letter off I think. All the photos I am posting are of the B61 and not the R. My pictures aren't great but they're better than nothing. On another note, what are you fellows referencing asking about 34s and 38's? Wheel Diameter? As for the front axle, I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them up for you to get a better look at. Thanks! - Colton

Definitely a coolpower job,

34's and 38's  refer to the back end as in how many thousand pounds they can carry

Need to sort something out for the air going into the tip turbine(needs clean filtered air into that big open hose) and she's ready to roll

Check for the letter/numbers per diagram for engine block identification.

If you can get the full Mack 313GC number off the pump tag, might be able to do some figuring that way as well.

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

That's a cool old B Model, does that have a Mack transmission in it ???  Quadraplex was kinda fragile with a 300. I ask cause you mentioned crawling underneath it when it was stuck in gear ?  If it's a Mack 5 and a 4 way behind that then that's a little more durable with the 300.  That old girl has air assist steering too I see.

Passion equals success  👍

we have the same inter-cooler on our E6-350, definitely a second air cleaner (dry element unit) to match the right side air cleaner, which should also be a dry element unit with your EM6 - 300 engine, it will pull real good

The Mack Quadrplex will hold up OK behind a 300 as log as you DO NOT LUG the engine. Keep your RPM's up..

That's pretty much what I figured. This truck has got plenty of logged hauls that were left in the glove box dated 1998-2001.
