I have just purchased my first Mack truck. I've driven several throughout the years and loved them every one. However my question is how do I grease the release bearing on the clutch? My drive train is 400 Mack aset with 10 speed Eaton trans. My truck had trans, clutch assembly all replaced at time of purchase. Any help is appreciated.

Under the bell housing under the clutch mechanism there is a tin plate

remove the tin plate go grab a torch

look up @ the thrust bearing U shood see the grease nipple

only give a small quick squirt not too much

OR

the grease nipple has an extension extended flexi hose th@ is mounted on the tin plate

= no need to remove tin plate
