Looks like fun but really 150,000 pounds?

Gross weight. Empty tare was 18,550 KG. Loads are 40 to 50 tonne. That truck pulls like it's not even loaded. But you know it when you need to slow down or stop, LOL

I've been meaning to ask.  This operation is completely "off road"?  Or should I say on pvt. company roads?  If so wouldn't articulateds or even ridgid frame off road trucks be cheaper to operate at those weights?

Yes, off road. They use those trucks so they can fit underground to load. They don't go all the way in. There is a bigger portal that only goes in a few hundred feet and that's where the ore and waste is elevated too.

Plus they haul 20 KM from mine to mill over some pretty steep and long hills. And in all weather. So I think the trucks are more suited to this particular job.
