F Model with low milage. Thad, this one has your name on it!

Thanks David! You know what, that truck is very close to me. Wish it was a tandem but still, not bad at all.

I have dreamed of owning this truck for a while. To my great surprise it was re-listed BUT it has a wonky model number and is listed as cab only, my heart sank. I sent an email just to inquire what happened to the rest of the truck.

http://www.truckpape...px?OHID=2446560

two more F models:

In Maryland which is not that far, especially since I have friends living there. $3k isn't bad at all. Those 24.5's look out of proportion though, not a big deal.

Another decent tandem with spokes (My favorite!)

Gerhart is still trying to sell their DM800's. You know, I love the DM800 series, wouldn't mind buying this one if it was oh about 8 grand cheaper . 65K rears on 24" rubber is just what the doctor ordered. Either leave it a coal truck for show or make it into a tractor.

Rob, This is just what you need to complete your fleet and work for the body shop.

http://cgi.ebay.com/...emZ170546696686

Man that looks tempting but I'd have to work it for justification to own.

Right now I'm so broke that if it cost a nickel to shit, I'd have to vomit. Sooo, I'd better pass.

Really is up my alley too.

Thanks,

Rob

New grill for 2011?

Looks like leftover RD grill pieces

What going on with the name MACK,,,

In the 80's it was on top of the hood.

In the 90's it was in the middle of the gill.

Now it's on the bottom of the gill,,,,,Whats next the the floor

Anyway the Dieter's chrome filler plate on top of the hood does help the flow of the grill

Now my questions,,,,,

Why use MP8s with cut back horsepower???

I can see they are not EPA engines,

Does Mack have to cut horsepower back to please EPA In the U.S.A,,,,Then turn them back up when they get to their foreign country???

I saw a couple of these a few years ago. I think they were 415 horsepower, but can't remember for sure. I know they didn't have the Holset VGT turbos, they had the volvo EPG behind the turbo. I think it's just because the MP8 is the only engine being used in export chassis.

Found some info for you. The MP8 Export engine is designed to meet Euro III (no VGT, no EGR, no DPF) or Euro IV (no DPF). Also, the only models available for export are the GU8, CXU, and MRU. Does anyone know if the Australian models are exported?

Mexico Export is different, you can get an MP7 or MP8. It has EGR but no DPF.

It's my understanding you cannot get an MP7 (Euro III) export. I was told for simplicity and the terrain the trucks drive the MP8 was more desirable.

Australian are exported to New Zealand, not sure about anywhere else. in Europe or Asia. I know US Mack's are exported to Russia.

Thanks 3P, I wondered about the Australian exports. I've seen pictures of some older Australian chassis in Indonesia and the UAE.
