The driver sure was lucky in that one.  A foot or two sooner, and the whole rig would probably have went straight down onto the lower level.  Could have been VERY bad.

On some of the others you guys posted, I sure hope nobody was seriously hurt on those.  Abrupt stops and "unintentional convergences" with bridges can be hard on people as well as equipment.

Do you guys know this website?

That bridge has since been raised, i believe it was 18 inches to make it 13 foot 2 inches

Yeah, I believe it has been raised, and none too soon.  But there are still plenty of videos out there of The Old Can Opener!

This one lit up out behind the plant a few years ago.  What alerted me to it was 2 big "booms" when the front tires popped.  Nobody hurt, thank goodness.

You mean that I have to lock the slider after moving the tandems????

I was getting ready to leave the house one day to head to town & have dinner with the wife on her lunch break. Railroad gates started to come down and a truck made an abrupt stop...with one hell of a bang. I look up, and it's Prime pulling a Walmart trailer, and the tandems are slid ALL of the way back. I walked out to the road and told him he may want to check his lock pins on the slider before he loses the tandems. He'd come all of the way from Ohio and was almost to misery...er...Missouri when this happened. He'd heard the bang when he stopped, but didn't know what had happened. Sure enough, he'd forgot to lock 'em.

When approaching a 4-way stop, the vehicle with the biggest tires has the right of way!
