Trucking News: Connecticut Governor Proposes Trucking Mileage Tax

Recommended Posts

  • 6 months later...

If the measure is approved by the Connecticut governor as expected, beginning in 2023, all vehicles weighing more than 26,000 pounds will be required to pay a vehicle miles traveled tax for every mile driven in Connecticut. The fee will range from 2.5 cents per mile for trucks weighing 26,000-28,000 pounds to 17.5 cents per mile for vehicles weighing more than 80,000 lbs. If you're looking for a W2 generator, at https://www.thepaystubs.com/w2-form-generator you will find information about the best W2 generator in the USA. I believe that this new law will have devastating consequences for businesses and families across Connecticut.

Soooooooooo, the state of Connecticut does not have a fuel tax that is already being paid by every trucking company driving on the roads????
