I'm wanting to install a valve to disallow the front steer axle brakes to release and hold them applied when winching. I haven't been able to locate a ready built kit such as Mico markets for hydraulic brakes either. A simple air, or electric control solenoid valve and switch would do the trick, but I'm wanting to know if this is legal to do. theakerstwo Posted February 18, 2021 Share Posted February 18, 2021 (edited) I have seen the steer axle applied by the trailer hand valve connected inline by a two way check valve which is easy to find.This way your steer axle brakes can be applied normal or by hand.
