I would recommend a Borg Warner Airwerks Turbo. A SX300 or maybe a small SX400 would defiantly add a kick in the rear to the old dog. I do not mess with E6's but it is simply matching what you got with 25 year newer technology. You need to measure the intake diameter and exhaust diameter of the turbo. The other thing is the A/R number on the exhaust turbine housing. If these three things are known a turbo can be selected that will run circles around the stock one. Adding a turbo blanket helps also. Boost should be in the range of 50psi plus. Maybe turn the fuel up 10% and it will run like never before.

You want to be careful trying to pull too much from an E6 it can break the block at number 5 main bearing! there in lies why they went to the E7 block with buttress screws! A candle that burns twice as  bright lasts half as long!

Just sayin!

Agreed with that and second it too. There is always trade offs with modifying anything  Durability and reliability go down as horsepower and performance go up. Everyday truck I would not mess with but a hobby or occasional run truck why not? Can't do to much anymore with emissions and all anyway. Heaven forbid some black smoke comes out of the stacks on a old truck these days.

Just get a bigger factory engineered engine and all is solved, just sayin...

Hey John could you elaborate a bit more on the Turbo mod please ? Direct bolt on ? Whats a ground fuel plate ?

Sorry i just saw this. I just called antrim diesel and they sent me a holset turbo made for the e6350. If you have a bosch p pump you gotta slide the fuel plate forward to gove it more fuel. Im my case i ground it so it would go farther. It runs strong. I pull 96000 pound loads daily and as long as you keep the boost up the egts never go over 900 deg.

What did they send you? My 1990 e6 350 needs a turbo. How much $?

Sorry my Mackites! I've been terrible busy. I haven't had much luck finding a SX300 with the correct exhaust port measurements. I have a reman E6350 1994 birthday, manifold is 2.75 x 4.50. That's center to center on the studs. Coming up with blanks. Anyone with a part number would be awesome. Thanks!
