marcsts Posted October 3, 2021 Share Posted October 3, 2021 Hi Guys So we got an 2011 Mack GU813 in for heavy shacking especially under braking, unit had king play on both axles, we ordered and replaced with kit from Stengle Bros # 300-340, followed all procedures, jack pin into place and 2 stage tor 200 then to 600 ft/lbs. after road test truck started wobble again, lifted and check kingpins their loose again, we attempted to retorque the top nut to 600 but are not getting any more. has anyone run into this? i seen some other kits that have shims, do i need to shim up the upper bearing cone to take up play? or i have read something about replacing spindle? also found a TSB about beam replacement? doubleclutchinweasel Posted October 4, 2021 Share Posted October 4, 2021 If the hole in the beam is not good, the pin will wobble in the hole, and feel just like the knuckle is wobbling on the pin.
