The previous owner of my granite cv713 had 385’s installed on the pusher axle.  The tag on door calls for 425 tires.  The reason was the bigger tires were dragging when off-road and causing problems like bending the stabilization shocks and also sometimes causing truck to get stuck .  I think this causes airbags to extend beyond there workable length.

Any thoughts.... thanks

60 lbs.

I was told many years ago run the pusher/tag axle air 1/2 of the truck running air pressure.

Don't know it that is true or not, but I found it gives a good ride and no axle jumping on braking.
