Hello, I just bought this tandem dump truck. I haven't owned one like it before. But when I picked the truck up the tachometer worked. Somewhere along my 2.5 hour ride home I noticed the tach was sitting at 0. When I got home I pulled the cable, spun one end and could see the other end turn. That leads me to think the cable is okay. I plugged the governor end of the cable back in and started the engine. The tach end of the cable was not spinning. So this leads me to think the issue is in the governor, or maybe the cable end, which was not the square like the tach end. It had a round piece of black plastic on it which I could slide off the cable, which looked like it had a couple of keys along the sides of it, if that makes sense? It is possible they may have been sheared off because they didnt stick out from the sides of the plastic piece. I guess I should take a picture... Anyway, does anyone have any ideas what I should be looking for to get my tach functioning again? Thanks!
