If you had the opportunity to redesign the Mack chassis and the MP engines what would you change?

And yea that one lobe is pretty chewed up

yup think that's kind of rare for the n14 the small cam engines would do that on a regular basis! they when to bigcam then big cam2 and the issue faded !  Didn't work on these much!

It may be rare but at 20yrs old and approaching 1mil, I have 1 more that needs a cam. Can't get them though, N/A from cummins gotta go aftermarket.

PAI!

As far as I know you cannot buy from PAI directly. This web sight has all there stuff

I can't buy from them anyway. Only company approved vendors with a credit account.

MACK TRUCKS also needs to do an UPGRADE on its headlamps.

But, they still are rubish. Poorly built headlamps from TYC. They get foggy, yellowish and tarnished so easy and they get water inside.

That's a VOLVO issue..   Have you ever used the 3-M buffing kit's from N.A.P.A. ?

We haven’t had any issues that you’re seeing with the headlights. Even after it seeing salt from plowing and acid (zep alumabrite) lol

Buy some “Off” insect repellent with “Deet” . Spray on headlights and wipe off. Makes them like new. Our company won’t buy new headlight housings so we use Off. It must be Off with Deet  though.

I don't know we had like 3 or 4 Big Cam 4s 838cpl do it   really turned me against a cummins N-14  pretty bullet proof except for the junk ecm that cummins used on all of the motors back then

Yup, Junk ecm, injectors, and wiring…

Some lined up after today's runs, not all of were back yet.

I'd change the clutch setup on these CXU613s. Trying to adjust the free play on a bound up linkage sucks, and changing a broken air shaft roadside is awful.

You can delete those stupid air assist clutch’s out to just cable. We’re you adjusting clutch or freeplay?

Oh yeah! That'd be cool. Do you need a different way to mount to the clutch shaft?

Yup by one kit you'll see what is going on and you can do the rest of the fleet quite cheaply by your own ingenuity!  its not rocket science! won't cast hardly anything! an hour or two of your time!

Here is the thing I HATE most on new MACK TRUCKS...

That bump-forward center console at the dash.

Very uncomfortable ride for a 3 men crew. Whoever sits at the middle gets the worst ride.

MACK TRUCKS needs to fix this "lump" on their dash-board design...

And  why MACK TRUCKS needs to cram 1/4 of the engine under the cab? I wish they will go to a flat firewall cab structure with ALL THE ENGINE IN FRONT OF IT and not part of the engine under the cab.
