Yep  ; one of them new fangeled  veehikles .  the viscous hub was more problematic with old units not working from the bi metal plate being loaded with dirt or missing completely and fan NOT engaging. have seen older ones staying engaged from center pin oxidized in position.  a new one (8-9) months old =NO

let me clarify...  no computer operating the fan clutch..  yes, when they are gunked up, they dont work right..  his is only 8 months old...  so maybe it needs to be cleaned and then re-tested...   sorry, I'm new when it comes to an E-Tech....  :)

NO clarification needed Sir;  it's automatic to think a 2000 has computer some where ; wasn't sure if modern technology screwed up the fan clutch also. at 8 + months i wouldn't think conditions would be that bad to clog a fan ;; not saying can't be. also statement says clutch seemed wrong from the get go. don't think it's a warranty now
